Youth Point accompanying image

Hi there!  We’re the Connexions team at Youth Point.

We offer free and impartial careers information, guidance and support.

We help young people with a wide range of things from their career decision-making and transition, as well as helping with other things like benefits, money problems, homelessness, alcohol, drugs or health issues, relationships, your rights and the law, staying safe, etc.

We are here to help you get from where you are, to where you want to be.

Why choose us?

We have been providing high quality information, advice and guidance services to young people and schools in Leeds since 2005.

We have a wide knowledge about careers options, the local labour market and higher education.

We have continually met and exceeded all our targets for reducing the number of young people who are not in employment, education or training. This has continued despite the national rise in youth unemployment. We are fully trained and experienced in working with young people from all kinds of backgrounds, abilities and who come with all kinds of things going on in their lives.

We receive on-going training and assessment to ensure we deliver a high quality service at all times.

All the Team is CRB checked and undertake regular safeguarding training.

We are Matrix approved -- so you can be sure you're getting quality advice.

Our leaflet can be found here.

What do people say about us?

“Thank you for being here for me and for not giving up on me, like everyone else has.  I don’t know what it is but you just wouldn’t give up.  It’s like you knew that there was a better me inside of me.  I couldn’t and wouldn’t have done this without your help.  Thank you”
17 year old who now lives independently and is employed.

“Thanks for all Ur help.  Ur like a night in shining armer or sommat”.
Text received from 16 year old who received housing, counseling support before getting into employment

“I just needed someone to talk to who would listen and help me figure it out.  I knew I could rely on you.”
16 year old who needed a range of intensive support services..

“He just won’t talk with us, and that’s quite upsetting as a parent.  So, I’m just pleased that he’s taken up with you, and that you can put him on the right track.  He seems to like meeting up with you.  If it wasn’t for Connexions I don’t know where we’d be."
Parent

“I just want to thank you for all your hard work with (the client).  All your meetings and the support you’ve given her so far, is really appreciated.  It’s good to have someone we can rely on, who knows their stuff and who really comes through for young people, so thank you.”
